Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mother as mother at home. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick started dancing and singing from a young age, and frequently performed plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood.
