Marcia has developed her own style of character transformation. Millers Crossing was praised for the versatility of her acting in films such as The First Wives, Meet Joe Black and Mona Lisa Smile. Her next film will be Fifty Shades of Grey by Universal and will play Christian Grey's mother. The movie will release in Valentine's Day, 2015. Other recent projects included Elsa & Fred starring the legendary Shirley MacLaine, Christopher Plummer and The ABC comedy Trophy Wife starring Malin Ackerman and Bradley Whitford, and Woody Allen's Magic in the Moonlight starring Emma Stone and Colin Firth. This fall, Harden reprised her role in the role of First Amendment attorney Rebecca Halliday in the critically acclaimed guest star role on Aaron Sorkin's HBO series The Newsroom.
